Holding Pattern

I know it's been a bit since we've posted but we're kind of in a holding pattern as Mom continues to recover from her surgery, chemo and port/cath insertions.  The biggest things she and Dad are facing right now:
  • Pain management (especially establishing a plan for this at home with the help of Dr. Huff and Home Care)
  • Becoming comfortable with using her subcutaneous port that has been put in her tummy (A subcutaneous port is a tube surgically placed into a blood vessel and attached to a disk placed under the skin. It is used for the administration of intravenous fluids and drugs)
  • Seeing the Orthopaedic surgeon about her right hip and the results of the most recent CT scan
  • Creating a Radiation plan which may even include going straight from Owen Sound hospital to one in London for treatment
Until these things have happened we won't know exactly when she will be released.

Please continue to pray for peace for Mom and Dad as we all attempt to grapple with this situation.
