These posts are giving me a great opportunity to post some pics of my mom.  There are lots of times when she is the picture taker so I've done some digging and found this one.

On to the medical update... Last night was a rough night.  She was really struggling with nausea again.  They've determined that it is caused by the pain meds so they are changing things up a bit to keep her more comfortable.  This morning my dad left early so he would be at the hospital when Dr. Newton was on his rounds.  We found out that the reason many of these tests are taking a while is that Ontario Health does not work on the weekend.  So hopefully by tomorrow morning we will have the last of the test results.  Everything that has come back, as of now, has been normal or negative.

Today, they will be running another CT scan on mom, this time looking specifically for any blood clots in the lung.  If this scan shows anymore fluid they will remove it once again by putting in a port/drain for continuous drainage.  The doctor is pretty certain there will be fluid again.  If the CT comes back as negative or inconclusive for blood clots, the next step will be laproscopic, exploratory surgery looking for the cause of this fluid.
