Drain and Pain

Today was an eventful day for Mom.  They did go in and drain off her lung again and took off 0.8L of fluid, after which they put in a "semi-permanent" drain so that they could stop stabbing and poking her every other day.  Since they put that in, her collection bag already has 0.9L of fluid in it, however, the drain is quite painful so they put her on morphine and some anti-nausea medication to counteract the morphine.

• She does appear to be breathing easier.

[As an aside, Kevin and I are back home again and as siblings Mo, Marce, Benj and I will do our best to keep up with her progress through phone calls with our dad.] 

Prayer Requests:

• Wisdom and insight  for the doctors to determine what is causing this pain and fluid build up.
• A form of treatment to heal Mom.
• Strength for Dad as well as Ephraim and Elmina as they try to keep up with chores and such.
• Patience for K&C, J&M, M&S, B&K as we try to help from afar.
