Really, it's not a surprise at all anymore!
Today Mom and Dad went to Owen Sound hospital for blood work, a visit with Dr. Aboo and her four week dose of pamidronate, the bone enhancer, which she was supposed to have last week but her calcium level was too low. This week, however, her level was good so they went ahead and gave her her dose of pamidronate. We were told last week that it would take 90 minutes to receive the drug, however, that is actually not the case. It takes 2 1/2 hours for the pamidronate to be recieved via her port in the oncology clinic. So four+ hours later it's done and they are now on their way to Port Huron, Michigan to meet Benj and Kelly.
Last time the pamidronate made her achy in the bones and joints but this afternoon she said she felt good. Her appetite is still great too. She enjoyed a Wendy's small burger and loved it!
Please pray for her oncologist appointment in London tomorrow concerning the possible radiation of her hip.
