Second Chemo Day!

Today began with Mom's second round of chemo back in Owen Sound at 9am this morning.  We are learning that these chemo days are going to be long.  She recieved her pre-treatment, two drugs and flushing of her port which altogether took 5 1/2hrs.  While it was long, Mom did wonderfully.  She dosed in and out, drank lots of diet gingerale, watched some movies on our laptop and played some cards with those of us who tagged along with her.

Before we headed home we stopped off at the Cancer Society building in downtown Owen Sound and picked up two wigs for FREE.  (What a gift!)  She looks fabulous!  She can now be a redhead or blond depending on how SASSY she is feeling that day!

She did very well again this evening; eating dinner and even playing cards.  However, around 9:30pm as she went to bed she was beginning to feel quite nauseated.

Please pray that the nausea will be minimal tonight and tomorrow.

  1. She will have to be feeling really sassy if she goes red! Praying the nauseous feeling doesn't last long.

    1. The red looks really good on her. It's not quite as short as yours but is super cute too! :)

  2. Sassy, Jane? Never ;-) I can picture her as a redhead!!!

Please send along my love to her and let her know that even though I am not close by, she is never far in my thoughts and prayers.

    Love to you all
