Pain, Pain, Go Away. . .

Last night, after the surgery, was very difficult for Mom.  Once the spinal wore off, she struggled with pain control.  Since she is an oncology patient, is receiving chemo, is utilizing the home care services and now is a surgical patient again; there seemed to be some major confusion about what meds she could and could not receive and who to contact about it.  Unfortunately, it didn't begin to get really straightened out until after lunch today.  It is still a work in progress but the oncologist and home care people are determined to get her pain under control.

She was running a slight temp at 38.4 late this morning but with ice under her armpits, it is slowly coming down.  They did some more blood work to see if anything has changed since first thing this morning.

They will also be doing some x-rays of her hip this afternoon and she already is dreading it.  The thought of moving at all and having to deal with the pain of that is stressing her out.
Please pray for:
  • Mom's pain regimen to be straightened out
  • Peace of mind in regards to the upcoming x-rays
  • Ability to sleep

Grateful for all of your thoughts and prayers,
Us
