Things are Slowly Looking Up

This morning the last of the test results came in and are all negative.  So the pathologist and the respirologist are in agreement that the latest diagnosis of a viral infection is indeed correct.  They believe the infection to be pleuritis which is an infection that causes the pleura sac around the lung to fill with fluid.  Speaking of fluid, Mom has only had around 10cc(ml) of fluid drain off since last evening which is a drastic improvement over the 1.1L they were getting every other day.  The drain will remain in for at least two more days.  They were going to move her from ICU/CCU to a regular room but apparently the hospital still does not have a regular room available so she's going to stay put.

She is still struggling to with constipation but that's not too surprising considering all the medication she is on.  She did have a decent night sleep so she is feeling much better this morning excluding some nausea which they think is due to the constipation and gas she has backed up in her.  Hopefully, they will remedy that this morning.

Thanks again for all your love and support!
