False Alarm

Gideon in his COOL new shades that clip on his glasses!
So yesterday evening we arrived home from Canada and the kids were ready to be out of the car!  As soon as we unpacked, Gideon decided he was going to 'hop' on his ripstik and take off like the pro he was two weeks ago when he left for Canada.  Unfortunately, MDOT (Michigan Department of Transportation) has not recieved the report about a pebble-sized hole on Rosewood Street that hinders expert ripstik-ers. (Note: heavy sarcasm)

Apparently, Gideon's back wheel hit this obstacle and he took a tumble using his right arm & hand to break his fall.  Oh yes, the Salls were back off to Urgent Care for an x-ray!!  I'm telling you what...Kevin and I have had about all we can handle with hospitals, doctor's offices and urgent care facilities this year!!  (I know you couldn't tell that already by ALL the exclamation points I've already used in this post!)

Thankfully, this was a false alarm and he ONLY sprained his forearm/elbow.  The swelling should go down quickly and we don't need to visit Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan in Grand Rapids AGAIN this summer. :)  Just thought I'd post something that just might make you smile.  I know I sure needed to! :)
