Bye, Bye Cate!!

One of Kevin's Many Mini-Skirts

This morning bright and early we were off to Radiology downtown at Butterworth.  Once we arrived they quickly took us back and Kevin was able to put on yet another mini-skirt, otherwise known as a gown, but on a 6 foot 7 inch guy, it begins to resemble skirts from the eighties.  They ran the x-ray (cystogram) with a contrast dye that they put in through his catheter, so they could get a good look at whether or not the bladder was leaking.  I was actually able to stay and could see all sorts of different angles of his bladder on the screen which was quite clear with the contrast. The whole procedure didn't take more than 15 minutes and he was getting dressed again.

From Radiology we headed to Dr. Curry's office, just down the road.  We were a little early for that appointment but they were waiting for the cystogram results anyway so we just "chilled" in the waiting room for a bit.  However, once we were back in the office, Kevin was elated to find out that Dr. Curry gave the okay for the catheter, otherwise referred to as 'Cate' by us, to be removed since there were no leaks found on the x-ray.  It was the second time Kevin had a catheter removed in less than a week and a half and, from what I can tell, he'll be thrilled to never have to repeat that again!

Dr. Curry told us the bladder looks good and that from his perspective, Kevin is all set.  So we are greatfully home now.  Kevin was quite wiped out and has gone for a nap (even before lunch! :)

Hugs,
Christine ( & Kevin)

Next on the Agenda:  Dr. M. Luchtefeld on Thursday late morning.
